Neyyappam  Ingredients

Raw Rice/White rice-2cups
Jaggery-320 to 350gms
Salt-as per test
Cardamom Powder-1/4tsp
Sesame Seeds-1/2tsp
Water-1/2cup
Ghee-1tsp
Oil -for fry

Neyyappam  Method 


Wash rice and soak for 3-4 hours.
Then drain and keep aside.
Melt jaggery and strain.
After cooling, grind along with rice in two-three batches.
The consistency should be loose than the idli mixer.
Check the taste. Add salt, cardamom powder, sesame seeds, and ghee.
Mix well, and keep the mixer overnight or 12 hours.
Then take out the mixer and check the consistency, if u feel its thick u can add 1-2 tbsp of water and mix again.
Heat oil on medium-hot pour one small ladle of mixer and fry till golden color.
